Meaningful change begins with awareness, collaboration, and shared responsibility.

Over the past two days, OAPTAR had the opportunity to attend ISSIP Focus 2026: Intellectual Discourse & Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the Community, addressing the critical issue of sexual crimes against women and children in Sarawak.
This two-day programme brings together government agencies, NGOs, experts, and community stakeholders to share insights, strengthen collaboration, and develop integrated solutions towards a safer and more supportive environment for women and children.
One of the most engaging parts of the programme was the Focus Group Discussion (FGD), where participants were divided into groups to deliberate on specific themes. OAPTAR was part of the Penguatkuasaan dan Perundangan (Enforcement and Legal Framework) group. We are also proud to share that one of our representatives from OAPTAR was selected to present our group's findings and recommendations on behalf of the Penguatkuasaan dan Perundangan group during the presentation session.
Overall, the programme was both informative and meaningful.
