Early Preparations for the ISSUP Borneo Conference 2028

ISSUP Malaysia recently visited Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) as part of the early preparations for the ISSUP Borneo Conference 2028.

The visit included a productive engagement with the Director of Hospital Universiti Malaysia Sabah (HUMS), as well as discussions with our UMS partners on the initial priorities and collaborative arrangements for the Conference.

Beginning these conversations early allows us to build a strong foundation, draw upon the expertise and professional networks of our partners, and ensure that the Conference will be relevant to the needs and realities of communities and professionals across Borneo and the globe.

We deeply appreciate the warm welcome, openness and commitment shown by the leadership and representatives of UMS. We look forward to working together to develop a meaningful regional & international platform for strengthening systems, advancing evidence-informed practice and building professional collaboration in drug demand reduction.
